Our Bel Parent Programme is designed to keep our parents involved and engaged in their child’s educational journey, fostering a sense of community and collaboration. Here’s how we do it:

  • Monthly Newsletter: Stay informed with our monthly ‘Bel newsletter’, packed with updates on topics, activities, and events happening at Belinay.
  • Quarterly Parent Teacher Meetings: Join us each term for our parent teacher meetings where you can discuss about your child's progress at length with their practitioner and also get more insights about our educational approach.
  • Regular Feedback: Receive regular updates on your child's wellbeing, ensuring you are always in the loop about their life at the nursery.
  • Educational Workshops for Parents: Participate in our workshops to gain valuable knowledge and tools to support your child's development at home.
  • Coffee Mornings: Connect with fellow parents, chat with our educators and share your experiences in a supportive community over a warm cup of coffee with us!
  • Open-Door Policy: We maintain an open-door policy, inviting our parents and families to talk to our staff about your child's needs and experiences.

Parent Volunteer Opportunities
For parents interested in getting involved, we offer opportunities to help with reading, art, science, and movement activities.
Such opportunities will channel the positive ethos, goodwill and creativity of our parents to enhance children’s learning experience and to strengthen ties between the Nursery, parents and children. Our Parent Volunteer Programme not only allows you to share your skills with us but also helps you gain essential skills for working with children.
Parent Events and Socials
We strive to make our nursery community as inclusive and supportive as possible.

Throughout the year, we host talks, coffee mornings and other social events for parents, providing a great opportunity to make friends within the Belinay community.

Parent Application
We encourage open communication between parents and the nursery.

 Our user-friendly Parent app ensures that communicating with us is always at your fingertips, making it easy to stay connected and informed. Our secure, user-friendly Parent app fosters a strong home-school connection, giving you peace of mind and helping you actively participate in your child’s early education journey at Belinay Nursery. You will receive daily updates and notifications on meals, naps, activities and milestones with access to photos, videos, and detailed reports of your child’s day, ensuring you never miss a moment and stay effortlessly connected. It allows you to communicate directly with your child’s key person, ask questions, and receive prompt responses. You stay informed about upcoming events, important notices, and nursery announcements helping you make informed decisions about your child’s education.

Home Learning Opportunities
Bel’s Home learning opportunities offers our parents a valuable way to extend their child’s education beyond the nursery.
Each week we will provide you variety of fun and engaging activities that can easily be implemented at home. Our resources include interactive stories, arts and crafts projects, simple science experiments, and educational games, all designed to support your child's learning and development. Focus areas include language, math, science, and social skills, promoting learning through play and exploration. With minimal preparation required, our home extension activities ensure that learning becomes a seamless and enjoyable part of everyday family life. These activities are added to our resources section, allowing you to use them repeatedly.
Teaching Schemes of Work
Every week, our teaching plans are communicated to parents on the parent application.
This allows you to see what your child will be learning and gives you good conversation starters to discuss their day at the nursery.
